7th Signal Festival in Prague

Not only in the summertime Prague resounds with open-air festivals. In the mid-October, for several years already, the inhabitants of Prague and visitors have the opportunity to see this city in a completely different light, and I mean it literally.

Signal Festival is the largest multimedia event in the Czech Republic, presenting lighting installations, video mapping, projections and other types of interdisciplinary installations. For four evenings Prague becomes the stage of an extraordinary game and dialogue of architecture, modern art, lights and sounds with modern technologies.

This year the festival will take place for the seventh time. The leitmotif of this year’s edition is the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution. The best artists have prepared installations and projections that are meant to provoke reflection upon the balance of the last thirty years, the shape of current democracy and nowaday’s socjety. Routes with installations and facilities will lead through the Lesser Quarter, the Old Town and Karlín. Some attractions will be available for free, some only in the ticket areas,  all of them after the dusk, from 19.00 hours. If you are planning to be in Prague on October 10-13, be sure to check out the festival program on the official website: https://www.signalfestival.com/en/program/mala-strana-en/. Tickets are available for pre-sale online or can be purchased at the entrance to the facilities.

October 10-13, 2019, 7p.m. – 12 p.m.

Highly recommended! (I’ll be there!)
