Practical tips

Public transport

I highly recommend you getting around Prague by public transport – it works efficiently, and virtually you can get anywhere you wish. Parking in the city centre is limited, and usually you need to walk from the parking lot to your destination much longer than from the stop.

You can search for connections at: http://spojeni.dpp.cz/ConnForm.aspx?tt=PID&cl=E5 or use the mibile app PID Litacka: https://app.pidlitacka.cz/en/

The regular ticket prices for an adult are: 24 CZK for 30 minutes, 32 CZK for 90 minutes. For more options please see: http://www.dpp.cz/en/fares-in-prague/

Shop opening hours

Grocery stores are usually open every day, from 6-7.00 a.m. till 8-11 p.m. Shops with other goods and servicing points are open on weekdays until 6-7 p.m., on Saturdays until 1-2 p.m., and on Sundays they are typically closed. There are many shopping malls in Prague that are open seven days a week and most of the stores are open until 9 p.m. there.

The main Post office

The main Post office is situatuated nearby Wenceslas square: Jindřišská 909/14, 110 00 Praha Nové Město. It is open every day from 2 a.m. till 12 p.m., the telephone no: (+420) 604 221 504. By the way, it is a beautiful building worth seeing 😊
